SpellForce 3 Editor & Mod Tools available
Dear SpellForce players,

Today we'd like to share with you the level editor and initial set of mod tools. These tools have been directly used to create the game so there is a lot to be achieved with those. It also comes with a documentation and example maps.

Please check the editor folder in the install folder for the documentation and samples.

We have plans to release more modding possibilities in the future as well as Steam workshop support.

i dont think so - this would be exclude the owners of the GoG version of the game (i think this was like 17% of all )

im not good on english and have not make maps before so I need a guide?

Steam workshop support is confirmed but there are still other sites where you can download maps and mods.

Could someone give me an hint on how to make my main hero spawn in a map? i managed to create a map by copy and pasting the one alredy present in the editor folders, i renamed that map and followed the instructions provided with the PDF document on how to make the client recognize it (and it did).

So, long story short, i tried to mess up a bit with the "logic objects" option inside the editor, i followed this path: SP3 > Character > Heroes_Main > Avatar then i positioned it. From there i changed the logic object option to make it "spawn", but actually it didn't spwn ingame. Maybe, do i have to configure some of those map text files first? Can someone enlight me about that?

Do you have your starting sector set and a godstone in it? You have to spawn heroes from the godstones.

Thanks for being good game developers and not simply being lazy and licensing all technology used in the game. You guys put in the work and we as gamers recognize this.:steamhappy:

Yes they're both set, but i wanted to make him spawn just nearby the main sector, as it is on campaign maps

Devs confirmed that remaster is possible so I guess they just need enough support from the community to get it.

I haven't looked into it yet, but guys, you are amazing! Giving an editor to the players will not only raise your popularity, it will long term keep the players and especially fans on your leash.
