Gamepad problem
I have problem. I have tried all forums, x360ce emualation etc. but my USB controller is not working with Back To Bed. It can be calibrated in windows, in Steam's Big Picture. When launching the game, it even says that in game interaction is one of the button. But when in game, it gives the tutorial for a mouse and the gamepad does not work .
Some details:
It is a generic 2-axis button gamepad (it's Ewent branded, if matters), my OS is Win 8.1 64-bit, I bought the game here on Steam obviously. Like I said I am trying x360ce emulation to trick Steam recognize it as a Microsoft gamepad, in fact, gamepad is working fine withing Steam. I have tried other standalone games, too, Toy Story 3, NHL. (as of now, I haven't tried other Steam games since I do not have any)

I'm having trouble with my Logitech F710; this is the only title I'm experiencing an issue with.

Response please.

Hi Will. That particular controller should work fine. Which kind of issue are you experiencing? Which operating system are you using? Try playing using the other control-setup on the controller (The X/D switch located under the controller)

Well sheeeyat. Direct input worked. Sorry, haven't touched that button in a few years - forgot it was even there. Thanks guys!

[Edit: Has anyone else experienced this issue with the Logitech F710 on Win7 64? Am I alone in having to switch to direct input?]

Just wanted to revive this to say that this solution did not work with my Logitech F510 on Win10 64. It's essentially the same as the F710, only with a direct USB cable instead of a wireless USB dongle. I've tried it in both XInput and DirectInput modes, with the Steam version, 32-bit DRM-free version and 64-bit DRM-free version, and I've tried "Run as Administrator" as that as usually helped with controller foibles in the past.

No dice sadly.

Edit: It also did not work with my SpeedLink Torid controller, neither in XInput nor DirectInput mode.

I am having this exact same problem. Windows 10 desktop. Menu works fine, but as soon as gameplay starts it zooms in a little on the character and will not move the character no matter what I do.

This worked for me, but only for two levels then went back to going bonkers. Player walks in wonky directions and won't move right.
