does anybody cant join friends, per code and even with steam invite since the last update?

Well, i was normally playing the game when my pc turned off, so at the time i open the game i see i just lose ALL MY PROGRESS, any way to recover it?

Am doing one of the specialty modes where I can only use glue, ice, and spikes. Under certain circumstances like being flooded with Regens on round 79, the game slows to a crawl. Is there anything I can do to improve performance? So I can finish the round?...
