Worth buying?
Just got 4 and feel like a fool for sleeping on it. My questions are how are the remasters / is online active / what to expect.

In my opinion it's definitely worth it. There are no paid DLCs here. This game is a combination of Zombie Army 1+2, and new maps. You can always return it, you have two hours. You can find players, especially when the game is on sale like it is now.
