Zombie Army Trilogy Won't Run
My Zombie Army trilogy won't start on my steam deck only until I connect to wifi. Meaning I would have to manually turn the wifi on and then the game will start to run. But before that, it will just do the intro and you will hear the sound in background with Rebellion lettering and just freeze and stay there. When I'm out somewhere and I get some time to get on the deck and I go to it, It will only get to the rebellion part and freeze. But if I connect to the wifi moments later, it will fully start to run. Can someone help me with this?

I have the same problem on a regular PC. Other people say that they can get it to start offline.

I used to be able to start it offline. One day, it just stopped working.

I can play it if I'm connected to the internet, though.

Do you have Steam Cloud saves turned on or off?

I also noticed that if I start Steam offline and check my settings, it has Steam Cloud saves turned on, even though I have them turned off if I check the same thing online.

It seems like that started happening at about the same time that I couldn't start this game offline.

I don't have this problem with other games.

I've realized that if I start it up and just let stay frozen for a couple of mins or so it will then begin to load up and start 🤨.

Aha. That worked for me. I had to wait 7 minutes.

I'd tried waiting before. I just didn't wait long enough.

Oddly, the hard drive wasn't doing much. It seems like the game was just waiting for something that never happened.

Turn off "Vsynch" for some reason it wouldn't go past the rebellion splash screen until my brother turned it off

I found a fix.

1. Right click on Zombie Army Trilogy in your Steam Library list.
2. Click Properties.
3. Click Privacy
4. Click the button to delete Steam Overlay cache for Zombie Army Trilogy.

The game can now start offline without the long wait.
