If you have failed with a certain genre, you probably dont want to do the same mistake again - Any CEO I could imagine.
if ever, then it will not be kixeye for sure. ( 99%)
It was lucky that we had the servers up for so long, but as someone stated in an earlier post, it would be a waste of resources since tome has no income for kixeye anymore ( only costs in form of servers )
They showed severe lack of knowledge regarding the free2play market, and specifically commonplace features and draws for MOBA type games, and if brought to their attention they shut down any discussion about it trying to blame it on some imagined short-sightedness of the player. ("Oh, you bought our all guardian pack and now you're complaining that you didn't get enough." - No, I didn't buy it. I wrote that I didn't buy it, and that I wouldn't buy it because there's this GIANT HOLE of incoherent, poor progression and economy design in your game that I tried to bring to your attention, thank you very much.)
To be honest, I saw this game going down way before it did, even though I had hopes for it when it then entered "inofficial development". For that phase, I am sad. It was a valiant effort on both Wrongthinkers part, the other devs at KIXEYE who spent time on it, and the community.
This game could have been good, REALLY good, if someone had bothered to design a compelling ingame-economy, a coherent progression system and a matching monetization.
Moment-to-moment gameplay, the matches, were really fun. But a MOBA is more than the matches, the progression outside of matches IS relevant. And Monetization CAN make or break a game.
In any case, I wish Wrongthinker and their coworkers all the best for these future projects, and thanks for the time with TOME that we had.
Tha game Devs were cool, but they were ignoring way too much repsonse from the community and thus it failed.
Also iam not giving a ♥♥♥♥ on your opinion ( mainly because I dont know what you actually want from me ) .
Bye H8r.
And with that, I'm unsubscribing from here, because I can't take someone seriously who, in this position, doesn't properly spellcheck his messages, curses in his posts, tells potential customers he doesn't care about their opinion while blaming others for ignoring customer response, and closes a message with "Bye H8r" ... I mean, H8r? Really? That's just... no.
Goodbye, Zymethgames.
...I think I'll just leave it at that.
