I have released Chompy Chomp Chomp Party today, 17th November 2022, on Nintendo Switch and Steam.

The aim is to create games that bring people together through joy and play, and to deepen the conversation around ethical gaming, particularly for families and friendship groups. I made Chompy Chomp Chomp Party with my wife and kids in the shed at the bottom of my garden, for us to play together.

If you loved the original, come play the new game. Chompy Chomp Chomp Party is a simple, inclusive, fresh and colourful party game sure to bring pure and intense fun to your living room. I have been working on it on and off for the past 8 years while I lived life, had a family and earned money through other means. There have been times when it felt like this day would never come, but it has!

Designed specifically for bursts of intense fun with your friends and family. Play 6 modes (with more to come via DLC) over 28 arenas and with an infinite level generator, no two games will ever be the same.

I am Woody, the developer of Chompy Chomp Chomp!

I have not posted on here much. I made this game a long time ago; before I had kids, before I was even married.

I knew when I released this game it would be a tough sell on PC. It was designed very much with the local multiplayer experience in mind. Designed to be played with people in the same room as each other. I wasn't sure how well that would translate to a PC audience. Sure I might have a bunch of controllers to plug into my PC hooked up to a TV, but does anybody else? Yet, here we are after all this time with mostly positive reviews despite not having online play, it feels like a big achievement for me. I’m so grateful to anyone who played and loved it and gave me a positive review. Thank you.

Over the past 6 years I’ve had 2 children, redundancies, family illnesses, multiple jobs and a pandemic to deal with while I’ve tried to develop a new version. I’m not going to lie, it’s been a long road, and development has stopped for long periods due to these factors. There have been many times when it felt like it would be impossible for me to finish another game.

But finally I’m releasing Chompy Chomp Chomp Party on the 17th of November. So if you enjoyed this game, hopefully you’ll enjoy this new version. It has many more modes, it’s much more polished and it supports up to 8 players! It still doesn’t have the much requested online mode (as a solo developer it's a significant undertaking), but it works well with Remote Play Together, which didn’t exist when we released the first game. So if you are looking for more multiplayer games to play with your friends go for it!

I am self publishing this time. So I’m hoping to be able to do better at keeping up with the Steam community, although I’m just not that great at this stuff. Thank you for reading this far and thank you for your support.
