A few important highlights, and additional rules:

• Always be respectful towards other users, regardless of who they are or what opinions they have. Insults, ridicule, and the like will not be tolerated. Racism, sexism, and such are especially unwelcome.
  
• Real-world political and world-view topics do not belong here.
  
• Do not spam, i.e. post the same message over and over, or messages lacking meaningful content.
  
• Do not post leaked or datamined content.
  
• Do not circumvent filters such as the profanity one.
  
• Do not abuse the report system; legitimate reports are of course welcome, but reporting others for no actual reason can end up getting you in trouble.
  
• Do not publicly discuss moderation.
  
• Keep threads on topic; do not (try to) derail threads.

2. Please use the correct subforums.
Threads may be moved if they would be more appropriate in a different subforum.

3. Check if a thread on the topic you wish to discuss already exists, using the search function on the right.
Threads may get merged if multiple ones exist on the same topic, to keep the forum tidier.

PS. Please also note that Steam does not give the option to merely edit other users' posts (although I believe Valve employees do have that ability).

What that means is that if one part of a post is in violation of the rules the entire post needs to go. Not ideal, but it is what it is.
