I need free camera movement

I'm sure it was made on purpose the way it is, but even though I was really into the game, I had to quit after some time because the restricted camera view was driving me nuts.

just select mouse alt in the control schemes.. it will give you a free camera on WASD.

I added this a month ago or so. its still there now but under arrow keys..
just rebind it

it's basically a free panning camera to wasd combined with the mmb orbit it should feel a little more comfortable. Q and A will then turn the camere left right.
