Can't drop a log
Ok so I am playing on a dedicated server. I picked up a log. But when I try to put it down I keep getting the error telling me something or someone is blocking the spot even though the spot is completely flat and clear. There is nothing there. I am the only one on the server at the time. I am not standing on the spot so I can't possibly be the obstruction. This happens no matter where I try to drop the log. It is simply impossible.

was the item red ? if its red you cant drop it

I remember having this trouble once. Just restarting the server did it.

I figured it out. The item was red and I couldn't figure out how to move it. The onscreen instructions are not very clear.

What I had to do was left click and hold on one of the movement controls in the popup window. While holding the mouse button down after clicking on control, move the mouse to adjust the item where I needed it. In the case of the log, moving it upward to get it out of the ground.

I had not realized the letters were indicating the axis of movement, not a key to press and hold to move the item. I was trying to hold down a key, such as the Z key and moving the mouse, or holding down Z and pressing an arrow key to try and move the log and that wasn't working.
