Like AC Black flag?
If I loved assassin's creed black flag, will I like this game?

I'm used to playing and enjoying early access games, so I'm not interested in the technical state of the game, only gameplay itself.

one thing it have common with BF its it have ships lol not comparable to BF at all
Not is same of black flag like youtube expect. If you expect that maybe need test the demo for see if you like it.
Basically everything interesting about Black Flag, such as storytelling, land combat, boarding, and storms have been taken out. There's only moving and shooting for all eternity.

What can I say? It's a complete, MMO lite with ships, with assassin creed stuff completely taken off (which for a good reason it's good since nobody want to get sunk while boarding other ship in a multiplayer game).

In short, it's like naval action with more casual, in co-op or pvp. It has better ship fights and mechanic compared to Black Flag but has worse story, and that part is brought into multiplayer. No parkour, no captain ish combat, and no parkour boarding (boarding is just animation), and more shooting cannonballs (deadlier boss, even a dragon). It's like the essence of black flag's ship were taken multiplayer. and that's it.

State of the game: Buggy as hell, incomplete mess. It's as you expect: Early Access game, but if you have no problem with it then it should be enjoyable for you.

But in case that explanation isn't enough, there's 6 hours free trial here to test yourself:

A single player and a multiplayer game could never be the same.

yes but only ship combat. Personally i enjoyed it more in this game, events and bosses are fun. There is not much a story and writing, not a personal one at least: we are just pirate captains supporting a side

personally i never had bug or technoical issues. Content is plenty but it's pretty generous with progression, eliminating the usual mmo grind. Which can get kinda boring since you can reach your goals pretty fast

I played 203 hours but i think i was done with nearly everything around ~120

Black Flag was my favourite AC game and that was because of the ship combat not because of the usual stealth land based part. This game is very like the ship part of Black Flag and is perfect for me. I'm really enjoying it.

I assume the demo Is in a deplorable (meaning: hopelessly outdated) state?

If you like Black Flag because of the ship combat, just play Odyssey...if lifted the ship combat from Black Flag and has a way better story and game play.
Its the Assassins Creed part that wrecked Black Flag.
