Game bugged?

can anyone tell me how to reset the puzzle or solve it? I'm confused theres no way to return back to the original position

Message could not be delivered to that email address, but I've found a bug on the PS4 version. I have the letter opener and can't zoom into the lizard's face over the fireplace anymore (this is where the bullet is, had to look it up). My only option seems to be starting the game over. It zoomed out after grabbing the horn and sword and the interaction prompt no longer appears.

I know this is old but technically you can never softlock yourself it this kind of puzzle since you can always go back the way you came :-)
