Question I always wondered
Every car is basically just a bunch of rods together? So different types of metal in the cars aren't more durable. how does that work? Is it the stronger the metal in the car the more rods

To a certain extent it's not really that realistic because at a certain point every car is just paper if you're fast enough

"it's not really that realistic because at a certain point every car is just paper if you're fast enough" that applies to cars in real life too you know.
The game is made up with static world parts and anything that moves and is a vehicle or creation is made up of nodes and beams.
The beams connect everything, and can have different attributes to them.
Nodes can also have attributes such as weight and function like bearings and arms/joints. The beams therefor control how a material moves and bends or remains stiff.
Hope this simplified explanation helps

Going 200 mph hitting a wall would not bend the whole frame of a car. literally the size of a wheel or smaller.

I am certain that hitting a wall at 200 mph would bend more than just the whole frame of a car in real life. Unfortunately, I don't exactly have the means to test such a thing...

200 mph to 0 mph would make the car turn into a crushed tin can, you into soup. Against a regular brick wall? you would go through the wall, most of the front of the car would be crushed, but you would go through the wall with a lot of speed. have you seen that car inside the side of a brick house on the second floor? that probably wasn't faster than 100 mph, and it went through the wall with enough speed to end up halfway inside the house. if I had to guess I'd say you'd still be going at least 150 mph. but against like a concrete foundation wall? yeah you're gonna get flattened.
Here's a crash test video into a concrete block at only 120 mph.

If anything Beam.NG's crash damage is conservative.
