People always say that Half-Life: Source is bad. It may have its fair share of glitches but in a casual playthrough, these glitches are hard to spot (except residue processing, if you are epileptic, stay away from that chapter at all times and skip to questionable ethics) All in all, I wouldn't say that I like HLS better than the base HL, but it does deserve to be played or tried out at least. I really enjoy the graphical upgrades HLS brings and don't really bat an eye to the bugs. So if you haven't already, try this game out even if many people are talking bad about it.

It's a bit redundant, considering the original game works perfectly fine, and more so if you attempt to play this un-modded. But it'll function with the Source Fixed mod installed, and you'll need it for Garry's Mod content that requires its assets. Plus, it's still Half-Life. Though be warned, if you attempt to uninstall this, it'll also uninstall Half-Life 2 as well for some reason.

+ Dismemberment.
+ Good soundtrack.
+ Great replay value.
+ Great enemy variety.
+ Great weapon variety.
+ Weapons have good impact.
+ Good aesthetics and graphics.
+ Character models can ragdoll now.
+ Flashlight casts a dynamic light now.

- Xen has the worst level design in the game.
- Enemies are bullet sponges on Hard difficulty.
- Uninstalls Half-Life 2 as well when uninstalled for some reason.
- Retroactive physics inclusion has some unforeseen consequences.
- It didn't get the full Source engine treatment that Counter-Strike got at the time of its release.

A lot of visual bug, but they don't change nothing from the original history.

I think people are a little overreacting its not as bad as some other bad remasters but It is very weak and buggy compared to every other half life game but think about what the game gave us black mesa a amazing fan game that was made because this "remaster" was so bad people decided to make a remaster better then that. Freeman's mind a web series that was made using half life source. since its on the source engine you can play the full game and mess around with it on gmod. Now im not saying its good its pretty buggy and handled very poorly so much it was unlisted following the 25 anniversary. Buy it if your using it for gmod but if your new to half life just play the original superior version.
