From what I can recall from reviews, it's optional on consoles but you can use it for cross-progression if you own lost crown on another platform such as Steam. I'm having that debate too on which version I want. Thinking about PS5 or Steam for Steam Deck but the Ubisoft launcher and account are not optional which is much more of a pain in the ass on deck. Switch version seems to be more than fine though, 60fps gameplay 1080p. Seems just a hit to textures and 30fps cutscenes.

I've played the Switch version at a friends place and really enjoyed it, the texture quality is quite a lot lower on certain objects though, that's why I bought the game on Steam.

I guess you have got to decide what bothers you more, low-res textures, or the crap you've got to bother with, with Ubisoft's PC games.

Im not that type of guy that screams with low quality graphics, but what im sure is that I dont wanna give more of my info to a cr*py company. Thats for sure.
And even less, use more annoying launchers.
