Fun little game that can be completed quite fast and binged for awhile if you want to make some dish washing automation amalgamation. IMO worth the price but I do have some gripes that I'll list here.

1. Progression is off, the game's ending is incredibly easy to get to unless a player is unlucky with a particular monster spawn and disk spawn or just scared to progress forward, leaving much of the research table untouched unless dedicated to. Speaking of, actual part acquisition and the costs for it is quite hell, you can get automation and reasonable income for dishwashing tokens but you CANNOT automate acquisition of scrap, the only way to get scrap to further research is to either fish them or go into the depths, both are RNG with one having alot of time for potentially nothing and another just grabbing the scrap fishing rod and hating the game for giving you several fish in a row every now n then. I get the name of the game has tedium but compared to the dishwashing tokens, this one is a bit much.

2. Research table is weirdly put together, while on the topic of research I want to point out how the perks you get for it don't adhere to the progression the player would even realistically have. Things like dishes drying faster naturally over time are put in the 2 final tiers which take awhile to get to, by the time the player reaches that they've likely already got automation and getting a dryer, which works near instantly and brings any dish from 100% to 0% like a snap of the finger, is incredibly easy and cheap. Why are these upgrades so late? In addition there's multiple upgrades for scrub speed when the T3 sponge is already incredibly fast by default, effectively serving as the upgrade already. It feels like the dev wanted another form of progression and just didn't think it through on what to give it. Cooking speed, as another example, is irrelevant. The player doesn't need to mass produce cooked food nor can they automate such a process anyways, closest to automating food you get is the farm plots. Cooking often has downsides as well for most food items save for things like fish as it reduces the thirst value and if the food item drains thirst, it will increase the drain of that.

3. Physics are jank with automation, when a washing machine grabs a plate, it levitates it and starts cleaning, they can hold multiple plates but they do not care about orientation or removing existing places, they only care to clean then drop. When it picks up a 2nd dish it will pull it under the first dish, pushing them upwards, this can cause the first dish that entered to be unable to move forward until the previous dishes are clean and let all of them drop, and the physics can sometimes jank out further causing them to clip into eachother or launch one or more of them off the conveyor line. This particular physics jank makes one of the features of upgraded washing machines, that they can hold more dishes to clean at a time, completely irrelevant as they're highly likely to throw those extra dishes all over the place from the sheer volume of physics slamming against eachother.

4. Enemy Scarcity felt disappointing, I didn't mind the lack of enemies at the start, it makes sense you dont want to drop the horror ball on the player fast, but I had the ending door open and many days past and would still regularly get no threats. That or I'd get a lesser threat like the Whistler or one I describe as "Laughing trapper" who doesn't even actually have an enemy AI that chases you, it just spawns beartraps around the map. I would've loved to more regularly see threats as I got further and more varied threats. As it stands I encountered 4 different enemy types, one just feeling like a random generation thing for traps, and I'm not sure if there's any more but they still rarely spawned.


Overall, as said its worth the price. Some gripes here n there but it was a fun experience and if you aim to beat a normal run, it doesn't take that long. Good Game.

Got to day 3 and bought a gamba machine and won 2500 dish tokens, didn't have to play the game anymore really xd. So remember kids: 99% of gamblers quit before they win big

So thoughts,

I wish I could give this game a mixed rating but since I can't I don't recommend it.

A few concerns that I have.

1. The game is VERY buggy. You're going to get stuff clipping in and out of the floor, walls, conveyor belts. etc.

2. The controls are insanely stiff. This isn't too big of a deal until you get to the ending parcore section , which crushes the whole vibe for me.

3. The length of the game is near none existent. It took me 7 hours to beat it but you could easily do this in 2 MAYBE 3 if you were pushing it.

Overall the experience isn't worth it, I wish it was a tad bit more refined thenI think it would be solid.
