If you're like me, you had Skara in your library and came back to check on it to see how it was doing. After a healthy search, I've found that they have halted development and currently have no plans to continue. This information can't be found on their website, twitter, or here on steam, I had to find it on their discord. Here is what comlech, a dev, said: "For those who couldn't read our official communication earlier this year: we had to stop the development of The Blade Remains. We no longer have the team or the resources to keep this project alive. We failed to attract enough players to the game - the competition on the f2p scene became much stronger on 2018 - and therefore the project was not sustainable.
We are only 4 people on the company today, working on a couple of smaller games to be able to keep the engagement with the Skara IP and - hopefully - get back to the big project once we get enough funds. We are still talking with potential publishers and investors but these things take a lot of time and some luck"
