Starfield: Creation Kit

Starfield: Creation Kit

Objects getting stuck bug that has me wanting to pull my hair out...anyone else?
I have an issue that continuously happens. I am making a mod that requires a lot of terminals to be placed. Originally, I was putting terminals on the walls, which in many places is just fine. However, in some, you place it, then when you run the game, it is WAY higher than when you place it. Then go back to the kit, lower it, move it, move it to a whole other wall etc. doesn't matter, run the game and it is permanently in the high place and will never move off the wall despite moving it in CK. The only way to fix it is to "cut" and paste...but here is the fun part, that breaks the quest that is using it as an alias. No big deal right? You cannot reset that alias, it is forever broken will never navigate to any alias again so I have PILE of "corrupted quests" that are broken due to this reason. Anybody else face this frustration? I now switched to terminals that are not on the wall and now I have the problem that it will now float in the air as it is magically pushed up when the game runs and is permanently stuck in that position.

Never done anything like that, But Did you save on exit? when im on CK and In-GAME just before i quit out , i will activate a workbench then quit as the game wont save when exiting from a workbench.

F' key will move an item to the ground level or table top, which ever the object is above, i dont know all the keys its been a while, try adjusting camera angle to check where the connection is , use small moves to place it. save then launch the game, remember not to save on exit .
Srry not the help you was looking for , its all i can think off, let me know if you find a fix , GL

The only thing I can think of is anything that is scripted really bakes into the save, especially if it run once type. Try either going to another system then come back, use a save that has not loaded that cell yet or start a new game.
I personally have not messed with terminals but xmarkers can do the same thing that you are experiencing. It is very annoying.

Along with what xPEDx was saying, when in game there's a shortcut to exit without saving, hold down [Alt] key then hit [F4] It will instantly close the game without saving.

That could help if they're correct that something is baked into your save.
