PC FREEZING HARD POWER REST

HI,
POE 2 is freezing making PC unresponsive currently installed from POE website going to try steam key and see if that fixes the issue. But guaranteed to happen every time I play and only on POE 2 I run All games at 2k 1440 and at 60 fps for POE 2 shouldn't be that big of an issue. I wouldn't care but over time and as many times the freeze happens it can corrupt data and cause issue to my PC. This is directly from POE 2 game its self and can become a major issue as it can harm your pc. Hope there is a fix for this ASAP its been a week solid this is happening.

PC:
cpu: intel 9000k
gpu 3080 Ti FE
ram 32 gb 3600mhz

a crash to desktop is NOT the same as a hard freeze

not saying a CTD is not also an issue, but it muddies the waters when you say it's the "same"

same here. been like this since it came out. freezing my entire pc when loading to town or other areas

I have the same problem and the same concerns. I think there is a problem with multithreading, although I'm not convinced it's just that. I checked the CPU and GPU usage, and the CPU, especially in the loading screens, exceeds 100% usage while the GPU doesn't even reach 99%. By disabling multithreading and NVIDIA DLSS the situation is "stable", obviously you lose graphic quality fps and game fluidity. I think there is a connection with the recent NVIDIA drivers and also the new windows update. definitely a communication problem between operating system-game-hardware

50-60kb patches coming game started freezing again. I left it today. I'll wait.

if you can "go back" to windows 23H2 feature update this fixes the freezing, if you are like me and don't have the "go back" option just have to wait for microlul and GGGGGG to fix...

Exactly the same, going to town or new area town freeze my computer and its a prety new on the market ...

If you read the page for issues for 24h2, it dont mention poe2 by name, so it could happen to more then just poe2.

Its issue 3 btw.

I have ~20 hours on 24H2, still 0 crashes.. ymmv

I suspect there are multiple issues going on, doubt we'll find a "silver bullet" to fix them all

I’m experiencing the same issue. Limiting the CPU or disabling shadow rendering didn’t work for me. Yesterday, I couldn’t even launch the game it kept freezing on the loading screen,

you on windows 11? my rig is very similar to yours but I'm not having any issues

I had this issue and was fixing it by modifying cpu affinity so my cores couldn't run at 100% . I tested something else recently and it seems to have fixed it without making modifying cpu affinity necessary. Change your settings for upscale mode from NIS to something else (Nvdia DLSS works for me)

was running dlss when the crashing happened, one day I played no problems, next day crash after crash to the point I gave up, not sure what the fk is going on with this game and windows, like to throw this in here for the sake of proving a point, my bro with an amd cpu on 23h2 0 crashes, updated to 24h2 to test, poe instantly crashed on loading screen, nothing to do with your cpu apart from a bug with microsoft and their bullsheet feature update and something in GGG's code....

time to move on for me, good luck and stop trying you are just damaging your hardware/system.
