Genre: Simulation?
Can someone explain to me how this game is a Simulation?
I don't see it and i would rather not have my beloved Sim genre made fun of.

There isn't really an art piece / experience game catagory, and I guess it's kind of a simulation of an experience, but I agree, it hardly fits the description. I think the steam rule is if you squint and look at it funny and it may kind of fit into that genre, the label applies (which is practically not a rule at all).

This sure as hell isn't mocking sim games, if that's what you're worried about. It just doesn't "simulate" the usual things that most sims do. Where most in the genre simulate cities, or farming, or surgery or car mechanics, this game simulates... Um... Well...

This game is a stimulation simulation game. And it does a delightful job of that. Too delightful a job of that. I need to go take a cold shower.

I still don't see it.

>Genre: Action, Casual, Indie, Simulation
The simulation category should simply be dropped.

Look at Proteus:
>Genre: Adventure, Casual, Indie
I would argue that Proteus is more of a simulation than this game and it is not even listed as one. A bit of raunchy text does not make it a simulation.

No, but the gameplay, the controls, and the goal do. Screenshots didn't capture it at all. The videos made me think of it as a mellower version of Dyad. Both of these didn't come close to my actual experience with the game; It is completely and entirely a "stimulation simulation."

I wasn't kidding when I said that. lol

Besides, why are you getting so hung up on a genre tag?

I'm pedantic like that. :KOh:

stimulation simulation?

and yeah its a simulation but maybe you need to talk to your parents about the birds and the bees before you can understand what this is a simulation of

it makes more sense on a touch screen

Tags on Steam don't say much anyway. Anything with a storyline is an "adventure", and anything with stats is a RPG.

If you wanted to make a mockery of it and call it a "wormhole travel simulator", then it would fit in with Space Sim, I guess...

This game is definitely a simulation game. It's just that the OP seems to think that simulation requires building something.
