And the main villain constantly talking about "insecure males"... Plus the on-the-nose, ham-fisted lesbian romance between the Egyptian gal and your main squeeze's sister... Yeah, no, the game still has traces of modern day "woke" (what a dumb term) writing. But that's practically unavoidable for an American game dev at this point. Only the folks out in eastern europe doing Warhammer Space Marine 2 can avoid it. It's still at a bare minimum by western standards in The Great Circle, so I guess that's a plus.

In that video he says it is, in the comment he pinned... he said it is. He just said it's dialed back. I don't like poison, even watered down. Here's a more apt review

So glad I watched this. Game is utterly Meh. The soldier looking up and around after hearing his buddy killed 3 ft away takes the cake.

He played on normal. The AI is pretty dumb on easy and normal, unfortunately. But it's quite the difference when playing on hard and very hard. The game is actually both really fun and challenging on very hard. I loved my playthrough on very hard.

Genius, you're missing the point. A couple of quips throughout the movies are fun, but the devs have Indy saying it at least once every 5 minutes across a 12-hour game. How do you not see the difference? One is Spielberg charm, the other is ham-fisted yammering with the forced frequency of a deranged Twitter addict.
