It's only okay. Overall, the game is frustrating.
The graphics are disappointing for PC.
The cut-scenes are choppy.
The choices are misleading at times. Yo can "say" something, but the dialog will take the meaning a totally different direction.

However, as a person who loves Star Trek, the game offers some adventure. The game provides the gamer a way to watch/play/live a season of the show.

Visuals & Performance:
Overall decent. Some minor stuttering and framerate drops but nothing game breaking. Any issues were quick and didn't impact the experience.
Character models definitely have some jank and some of the movement could be better.

Gameplay:
This is more of an interactive movie with mostly quick time events. This follows the Telltale formula for game play For the stealth or combat section can change to story mode for the section to get thru it. My first play thru I didn't switch to story mode but when I went thru a 2nd time to pick up achievements if I didn't "one shot" a section switched to story mode and moved on.
Was not able to find an option to skip/speed up dialog for the 2nd playthrough which would have been nice to save time. I honestly just might have missed it.

Story:
It definitely felt "Star Trek" and would have fit in very easily as a multi episode story arch in pretty much any series. Feels more TNG/DS9 than the newer Star Trek shows.

Overall:
Enjoyed the game for a good Star Trek story and a nice "change of pace" game between bigger investment titles.

TLDR: This game is amazing! While gameplay is a bit basic, this games true strongpoint is the narrative and storytelling. Much like the Telltale games, this game has an insanely well developed, deep story, well-developed characters and a strong root in the Star Trek franchise, especially the era of TNG, DS9 and Voyager. Must play for any fan of the aforementioned shows. I wish they would make this a new show in the style of the 80s/90s shows now. ;)

Star Trek: Resurgence is a narrative-driven adventure game developed by Dramatic Labs, bringing players into the heart of a classic Star Trek experience. Set shortly after The Next Generation era, the game offers a fresh yet familiar story filled with diplomacy, exploration, and moral dilemmas. Those who played Telltale games will know, in what moral dilemmas you can sometimes end up and how much you can occasionally doubt your own real-life principles and morals after a playthrough. ;)

The game's story revolves around two perspectives: Commander Jara Rydek, a newly appointed officer aboard the USS Resolute, and Carter Diaz, a low-ranking engineer navigating life in the bowels of the ship. The dual perspective allows players to experience the grandeur of command decisions and the personal struggles of Starfleet's crew. In general, more weight on a grand scale are put on Commander Rydek's decision though, which is why I sometimes felt that Carter's decisions made less of a difference on grander scale.

The sound design is a highlight of Star Trek: Resurgence. From the hum of the starship to the iconic swish of the doors, the game immerses you in its world. The voice acting is solid, with standout performances by the leads.

With multiple choices and branching dialogue paths, Star Trek: Resurgence offers some replay value. Fans who enjoy exploring alternative outcomes and moral dilemmas will find it rewarding to play through again.

A bit of a negative for me are the achievements. I am a bit of an achievement hunter and in order to gain all achievements, you will have to play through the entire game at least twice, potentially three times, which I find a bit frustrating.

Also, unfortunately, the "Choice" feature does not seem to work anymore, which is a bummer. I always really enjoy seeing the choices I made and how many other players made the same or a different choice.

All in all I would give this game solid FIVE STARS though, because I am a sucker for quality, well-written stories and well-developed characters, both of which have become rather rate these days. In essence this game can compete with some of the better episode from the old shows and in terms of Star Trek video games, this is definitely playing high at the top of the list of all ST games ever made. I hope the studio will make more Star Trek games like this!
