Try reinstall game and reboot your PC. If it doesn't work, you can try set compatibility mod to .exe file in local files with Win7 or older. If it also doesn't work - open properties at windows explorer when it opened, choose advanced system settings > Advanced > Properties in Performance > Data Execution Prevention, and add .exe file of game to exceptions, or if you already have exceptions, try set it to on for all programs.

I've just had this particular issue myself. I don't know if this specifically applies to your issue (I know this is almost a year later but posting for reference).

For me, after launching the game it appeared to go full screen but would then minimise to the taskbar. Clicking it's icon would give me a black screen for a couple of seconds (and produce the game audio) and the minimise again.

I've got 2 monitors on my PC. Disabling one monitor let me run the game fine. Re-enabling the monitor, the game continues to work! Hope this helps someone.

My actual long term fix was to pick up an old copy for the 360(!)

Tried to set it to Win7 compatibility... still shows a black screen... then I set the properties of the game better. Then it finally worked.
