Pavlov's house crash

So i'm in the pavlov's house level and the game always crashes with the message "tried to blend between sound aliases 't34_idle_low' and t34_idle_high, but they don't use the same sound file" after the countdown finishes. Has anyone found a solution to this? I can't progress the game at all because of this issue

Try changing your sound settings. Turn off the EAX in the sound option if you are using it. I'd fiddle with the sound options under the games menu's..

make sure the game is patched all the way as well

Nah I tried all that. Turns out it was because of some multiplayer files I downloaded. If you play MP it causes conflicts with some files in single player. I had to manually delete all the game files to fix the issue.
