Well actually Jane doesn't if you choose not to take the bag of supplies but if you do take it however, we keep the bag. Either way, Arvo and his friends are still going to ambush you no matter what decision you make, it'll still happen.

He lies just to get revenge for being threatened by an 11 year old.

Noticed the same thing, game doesnt seem to acknowlege it when you dont steal his stuff.
Doesnt even give the option to point that out at the ambush

The ambush was ordered by the two ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ openly bossing him around it wasn’t something he himself planned.

If you didn’t steal the medicine he says “I wish things could’ve been different” and if you try to please with him not to do this he responds “they are not telling me to ask”.

And Arvo is ignored by everyone except his sister when he tells them about the baby.

Arvo was not in charge here.
