Cannot get any sound on Win 11 system, already tried compatibility mode, didnt work, havent found any fix so far. Any suggestions please?

I've checked, double checked my settings, reinstalled the game, tried and nothing! I can't get why?? can I fix it??

Seriously hate forced fullscreen gaming. Tried a few attempts at dxwnd with no success.

This has been a recurring feature in several Darkling Room games, including The Lost Crown, and as recently as Ghost Vigil. There is a radio station that you can find that plays a series of repeating numbers, along with the phrase "rising slowly". I've never been able to figure out what it is. A weather report? Stock exchange prices? Anyone know what this is about?...
