My friends are using Windows 8 and running the game just fine.
Somewhat unrelated to the game, where do I install the SweetFX & ENB files exactly? I put the ENB files in the folder with the vampire.exe and ended up with a graffiti looking thing in the upper right of the screen for about a minute until it went away.
I'm using Wesp5's 9.0 patch.
Windows 7 64 bit home premium
16GB corsair vengeance RAM
intel i7 4770k 3.50
nvidia GTX 750 Ti 2GB
I have tried other patches but they too are corrupt. I've also tried finding them from other places, and I get the same thing. I've tried running it through Steam, while Steam and VTMB are being ran as administrator. VTMB is also running in compatability with xp service pack 3, with disabled visual themes, and disabled desktop composition.
Did I miss some sort of holy grail that could possibly help me, or am I doomed to never play this game, because I will be stopped at every turn with everything going wrong?
Also, I am running:
Windows 7 professional
AMD Athlon Dual Core Processor 4450e 2.30GHz
3.00GB RAM
32-bit operating system
NVIDIA GeForce 9400GT graphics card
http://www.sbock.net/upload/VTMBup90.exe
On a more technical note, it's saying "The setup files are corrupted. Please obtain a new copy of the program)
For the audio bug, this might possibly fix it (copied off pcgamingwiki):
To fix this issue permanently, open autoexec.cfg and add the following to it:
// [Sound Patch]
snd_mixahead 0.35
snd_surround 1
snd_gain 2.2
snd_gain_max 1.58
dsp_on 1
dsp_spatial 73
dsp_stereo 1
dsp_dist_max 9999
hisound 1
footstep_pc_vol 0.31
// footstep_npc_use_templates 0
volume "0.930000"
The pink and black textures can be fixed by TURNING ON "Bump Mapping" in your Options. If this doesn't work, chances are your game updated itself after installing the patch (and you forgot to turn off Steam's auto-update feature for the game) or it got corrupted somewhere. A clean reinstall and re-application of the 9.0 patch is needed then.
That patch link that was posted here should work just fine. Redownload it and make sure the download is not interrupted at all. Is an antirvirus/firewall intefering with the download possibly? My Norton deletes even legit files -- based on a reputation scan.
If you get the patch working (I'll try to find another mirror for you), install it in conjuction with this great guide:

P.S. http://voiddancers.org/STRANGE_FILES/bloodlines-_patch6.9_and_patch9.0.rar
That link contains a graphics card patch (don't need it) and patch 9.0. Hopefully that download works.
Windows cursor at the menu is fine - nothing wrong there unless I'm not understanding what you wrote.
No intro - try ticking the box to "disable visual themes" AND "disable desktop composition" for the game's shorcut; otherwise it's no biggie and it's an issue that remains unfixed on all modern OS'es.
For Sweet FX, copy and paste the files required into the Bin folder (I'm pretty sure this is what you have to do - my memory isn't good after playing it 2 years ago :D).
This fixed my issue, thanks!
Great to hear you can see the intros.
What about the other issues you are facing? Specifically: ENB and Sweet FX. It sounds like they are installed properly to me but I can't be 100% sure.
