It's been a month since Realm of Ink Early Access launched and we hope you had or are having fun in Realm of Ink. After several minor patches, we are more than thrilled to put out our first major update in October!

In this update, we are bringing 3 new Ink Gem Powers, 21 new Perks, and a Pick System that lets players choose their starting Ink Gem Power and Perk.

We have listened to the voices of our players who are eager to experience more of the essence of an Action-Roguelike, the thrilling hacking and slashing. Therefore, the new Ink Gems and Perks put a strong emphasis on the synergy between light and heavy attacks, as well as dashing and dodging. The aim is to enhance the action gameplay nature and maximize the satisfaction of every playstyle.
We have added a variety of new Perks ranging from rare to legendary. They also have a strong focus on strengthening the power of light and heavy attacks as well as dashes, further amplifying the experience when you use the new Ink Gems between runs. See below for details stats of the new Perks:
Once all endings are unlocked (after six successful runs), at the start of a run, you can choose one Ink Gem (only at the Common tier) and one Perk (ranging from Common to Epic tier) that you have encountered in previous runs. This will not replace the initial Ink Gem dropped in the first room, meaning you can equip two Ink Gems before entering any room.
With this update, the game now has:
- 25 Ink Gem Powers
- 145 Perks
- 9 Weapon Forms
- 101 Martial Arts Skills
- Hundreds of Elixirs
The additional content deepens the game's strategic potential, encouraging players to experiment with new combinations and uncover unique builds.

Please note that our official v1.0 plan is different from the expected official version plan in May. The main reason is that based on EA feedback, we have decided to prioritize more resources to increase the depth of gameplay content and optimize gameplay. The plans for some new maps and weapons are considered to be launched in future as FREE DLCs.

With the roadmap being released, we hope to keep you coming back to enjoy more of our game by constant monthly updates, and to keep ourselves on the right track. Look forward to our full release!

4. Player can now act sooner after reviving.
5. Modified requirements of certain achievements. Lowered the requirements of some of the Achievements that were too difficult to accomplish.

After a short moment of rest, we have immediately jumped back to fixing the game and enhancing the experience. And here is Patch Note No. 5!

- Added skip cutscene feature, BOSS intro and Level intro cutscenes can now be skipped.

- Fixed a bug where items drops by breaking jars in some scenes may spawn in unreachable area.
- Fixed a bug where Red Form's ability "Swift Edge" wouldn't work when processing both "Twin Blades" and "Swift Edge".
- Fixed a bug where Grace Form's ability "Ink Cloud" didn't work properly in Animitta's Sanctum.
- Fixed a bug where when holding two Tiger Inks, the Ink Skills could not be replaced with Tiger Eclipse.
- Fixed a bug where the Screen Resolution setting wasn't properly saved.
- Fixed a bug where purchasing Golda's Voucher may increase the price of other perks in the shop.
- Fixed a bug where using free rerolls in the shop would incorrectly increment shop rerolls' price.
- Fixed a bug where certain UI buttons that are only intended to be interactable once can be interacted with multiple times if being clicked on fast enough.
- Fixed a bug where opening the pause menu right at the start of the second phase of the Book Spirit BOSS fight.
- Fixed a bug where loading saves that are inside Animitta's Sanctum would cause the game to break.
- Fixed a bug where damage dealt to wooden dummies would also be counted into Most Damage Dealt and Total Damage stats.
- Fixed a bug where new drops could not be spawned when there are too many drops in a scene.

- Shortened the duration of Dram Master's attacks' flaming areas.
- Descriptions of certain Ink Gems, Perks and Key Words are now more concise.

- A'Kuan Form's ability "Shadow Break" increases 2→1 Bamboo Points Limit, Bamboo Points needed to cast Shadow Break is now 3 instead of 4, damage of Shadow Break decreased slightly.
- Monk Jin's Form's ability "Buddha's Radiance", mark's lasting time now increase from 1.5s - 3s.
- Damage dealt by Perk "Plumed Fascinator" is now Light Attack/Additional.
- Perk "Enamel Burner" provides 2% → 3% per second of Ink Skill Cool Down.
- Perk "Blessed Seal" now provides +20% → 35% Damage Modifier.
- Perk "Fury Amulet" now provides +1% → 1.5% Damage Modifier per stack.
- Perk "Wailing Pipa" now deals 15% → 25% of the damage of the light attack with its soundwaves.
- Perk "Fiery Wheel": Burn Explosion no longer requires 5 stacks of Burning to trigger Burn Explosion.
- Perk "Farmer's Staff": Max HP +15% → 20%.
- Perk "Ink Tunic" now deals 200% damage of the Heavy Attack with Ink Clones, and no longer has a number limit for Ink Clones.
- Ink Gem "Curse Ink" can also accumulate stacks when killing enemies without Curse.
- Ink Gem "Kylin Ink" no longer deal damage when applying Gold Touch to enemies.
- Ink Gem Shield Ink's bonus rebound damage now doesn't require taking damage when shielded.
- Dragon Ink no longer provide Super Armor, in compensation it provides an extra 10% Heavy Attack Crit Chance.
- Extra gold by Gold Touch per Chapter 30% (120% in Chapter 4) → 15% (60% in Chapter 4).

• Added quick restart feature which allows player to give up and restart from first level.

Bug Fix

• Fixed a bug where some NPC related achievements could not be properly completed.
  
• Fixed a bug where when A'kuan Form's heavy attack gets interrupted, the character may move in an unexpected way.

Improvements

• Undo cursor size adjustment to avoid cursor delay (high contrast cursor is on its way).
  
• Increased engage range of Ink Pets, now they won't quit fighting when being far away from enemies.

Balance

• Grace Form's light attack now deals 25% more damage.
  
• A'kuan From's ability "Bamboo Smash" now deals 30% more damage for each point consumed instead of 20%.

Fixed a bug where the "Ink Gem Master, That's Me Now" achievement could not be properly completed.
Fixed a bug where the "Fated Connections" achievement could not be properly completed.
Fixed a bug where "Ink Essence" wouldn't work when possessing "Ripple Blast" and "Ink Essence".

We’ve been closely listening to your feedback, and today we’re excited to roll out our Day 2 patch! This update addresses a range of bug fixes and introduces key optimizations inspired by your insightful suggestions. Your feedback has been invaluable in refining the gameplay experience, and we can’t wait for you to dive into these improvements!

1. Fixed a bug where player can move outside walking area with Leap Strike ability.
2. Fix a bug where after defeating General Gor the reawrds may spawn inside pillars.
3. Tiger Ink and Blaze Ink's will clear the energy stack once it's full and replace their skills with the enhanced versions.
4. History Log will run a check upon game start and opening the Higtory Log UI, currupted logs will be automatically removed.
5. Fixed a bug where the would crash when playing ending CGs under certain conditions.
6. Game records will be first checked for integrity before saving.
7. Fixed a bug where certain achivements could not be completed.
8. Swarm Frenzy summoned by Buzzy Momo summons Swarm Frenzy when enemies are attacked will be initialized correctly.
9. Fixed a bug where the player's heavy attack could not be replicated by Dragon Ink's avatars when possessing "Strategic Spread" ability.
10. Fixed a bug that made the Talant Stele UI to flash frequently and become non-interactive.

11. Slightly reduced the size of Blood Blooms in Chapter 3.
12. Chapter 4 shops no longer sell common perks under Difficulty 2 - 5.
13. Common Ink Gems no longer drops starting from Chapter 3 under Difficulty 4 and 5.
14. Player avatars will be cleared during Keh and Book Spirit Boss fight when turning into phase 2, player can now summon new avatars even when the number of avatars reaches the upper limit, but the earliest avatar will be eliminated.
15. When platyer avatars are summoned outside walking area, they will be teleported to player position.
16. Corrected the description of "Instant Burst" and "Trace Dance".
17. Added attack warning for Bone Doll, Shadow Top and Azure Guard.
18. Modified the attack animations of certain foes in Chapter 4, making their intentions more obvious.
19. Adjusted the hit area of "Instant Burst".
20. Adjusted the skill of Shadowmaster
21. Improved the knockback effect of "Overwhelming Rain".

Based on the player feedback and suggestions we've collected on Day 1 of the game launch, we have fixed the known bugs and made some adjustments to combat balance. Please find the details in the list below. We also welcome players to continue providing feedback. Thank you so much!

Additionally, regarding the highly anticipated multi-language support, we have completed translations in six languages: Japanese, Russian, German, French, Spanish (Spain), and Portuguese (Brazil). We are currently in the final stages of LQA and will do our best to release them as soon as possible.

Patch 1 Notes:

1. Fixed a bug where the enhanced Tiger Ink skill has no CD after switching Ink Gem.
   
2. Fixed a bug where checking the History Log would incorrectly unlock new difficulties.
   
3. Fixed a bug where Ink Gem skills can't be used in Animitta's Sanctum when possessing Grace Form's "Celestial Brushstroke" ability.
   
4. Fixed a bug where the Frame Rate setting wasn't correctly loaded.
   
5. Fixed a bug where some NPCS would have incorrect conversations.
   
6. Fixed a bug where the condition of the "The Loneliness of Invincibility" achivement was incorrect。
