Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't VR games supposed to run at 90 fps or something like that to be necessarily smooth for the eyes ? This game is unoptimized and given that the VR trend is not that popular as it was it most likely doesn t strike them as an interest to do so (although I think modders can do that lol)

72 FPS is fine

VR is more popular than ever, see the games that have been released just in the last 3 months

Just because you are not interested don't mean they don't exist lol

Most people don't have interested in Nintendo for example, so they barely know what is being released on Switch even if the games selling 10+ millions of copies

Just to mention some games I picked on my Quest or Steam in the last 3 months

- Arizona Sunshine Remake
- Batman Arkham Shadow (canon to Arkham series, is set between Arkham Origins and Asylum)
- Metal Hellsinger VR (port of Metal Hellsinger to VR)
- Triangle Strategy (port of Triangle Strategy to VR)
- Metro Awakening (prequel to 2033)
- Skydance's Behemoth (Medieval game with realistic combat, is like a mix of Dark Messiah and Shadow of the Colossus)

There is also an Aliens game coming

If these companies think consumers are going to invest in to a whole new niche platform with minimal support because they insist upon their IPs having entries on said platform, they have another thing coming lol. VR is just a fancy Wii for those who weren't around when the Wii came out. Who the hell wants to be standing and flinging themselves around while playing a game? Whole concept is stupid

It's much more immersive than traditional gaming, is a whole new level, is like the Wii 2

I don't know why guys who don't care for VR are entering this post

I am clearly asking for a VR version of Serious Sam because we have for all the previous games, and that's it

The problem is that Croteam has already been burned by VR with Talos VR underperforming, and the main developer who pushed for VR stuff in the first place is no longer with Croteam. Not to mention, it seems Croteam is no longer willing to touch the game/engine anymore.

It'd probably be neat, but it's unfortunately probably not gonna happen, at least officially.

That is sad to hear,
I bought the Quest 3 just this year, and it's my very first headset
And I was mindblowed replaying Serious Sam Second Encounter in VR
It was ahead of its time, you can compare to more modern VR games

DOOM VFR for example sucks

It was great on the PSVR1 with the AIM controller. It sucks on PC because the half-baked VR controls implementation by Bethesda which has been never fixed.

I am not a fan of the tank controls

+1 for VR, but I would like more if The Talos Principle 2 get VR support (it's just beautifull) and also I really don't like the realisation of VR in Serious Sam Ecounters – it's just lazy weapon port from Last Hope with no weapon shoot delay, that feels extremely cheaty (it wasn't in Last Hope, becouse it's desined with these kind of weapons).
I would like at least proper VR realisation in these VR ports.
+1 for VR
There a lots of cool new VR games, but Sam trilogy is still one of the most interesting. I find Last Hope intersting too.

Vr would be nice, but doubt it will ever come.
