I just modded it in via the EGS way.
I tried doing the mods but it only worked for KH3, not the other games.
You can Hex edit the main exe file like for the EGS version, that's how I got ultrawide to work, the other games require external mods which don't work with the steam version....
I just looked for the part that needs to be replaced, I couldnt find some of the hex codes myself but it still worked out
It tried the partial codes myself, and most of it works. When i get in-game, walking, the screen is split and things are all over the place.
Glad it's working for you though. Hope a better workaround shines through.
I don't know what they were talking about in that post, cause the hex strings you're supposed to replace are just gone so no clue how they got it to work without them.
I can tell you exactly what I did when I get home, but that's gonna take until tomorrow.
I'm looking forward to the answer to that :)
because as it stands now we are mostly just guessing with hex codes as the original codes from epic games aren't found in the steam version.
so for those of us who don't really know much about hex editing don't have much to go on.
or track the new one that needs to be replaced down.
Alright, so this is what I did while following the pcgamingwiki:
Open the exe in HxD, then instead of searching for
Then I found
I completely left out the UI and FMV stretching fix as the hex value for it couldn't be found, though I don't seem to be having the stretching issue so I didn't have the need for it anyways.
The FOV hex wasn't found either, but it was fine on my screen, so I didn't edit it either.
This is how the game looks like to me after these edits:

Edit: tried it just crashes the game weirdge since it usually works on literally every Unreal game that i own.
