I think just adding more variety of items would go a long way and that would even help the yard sale aspect of the game - I love running around yard sales and wondering what I'll find. Along with that - making the rare/epic/legendary items more rare could help. For an example of that, I hit a yard sale on my way to buy a storage unit and found a golden deagle at a yard sale - and there was another golden deagle in the storage unit. That's a little more common than the legendary title would suggest.
Maybe a flatbed truck? I think the truck that is sold at the dealership is a bit too similar to the stock truck in terms of hauling capacity.
Is it possible to change the boat/canoe model to allow small items to be placed inside it? I tried but it seems like the open portion of the boat is actually an invisible wall.
More intense ideas for the game might include a physical storefront and/or employees? It's hard to imagine what that might look like while also keeping the current spirit of the game though.
Engine sounds? I don't really hear any car-related feedback while driving around.
A general idea would be some kind of money sink. I feel like I'm rapidly getting more and more wealthy but don't have a reason to spend it on anything. If there was some kind of physical storefront, maybe this money could go towards improving the building amenities or something?
1. Showing a mini-map that can indicate where you are and the destination at all times.
2. Streetlights and truck/car headlights, so you can see in the dark.
3. Saved games should resume from where they left off, not from the house garage.
4. Let users rent a storage unit to keep their own stuff.
5. Show a static menu bar at the top of the computer at all times for quick switching between "AUCTION/SHOP/GAMBLE/BANK."
6. Add some goals/quests for users to complete and earn bonus money as a reward.
7. Pawn shop/appraisal service.
8. Repair/cleaning services - users can pay someone for repairs if they have enough money.
Focus on the storage-related theme and avoid making the game too broad, as this could result in a gameplay experience similar to the SIMS series.
Basically, just want more hiccups or obstacles to provide more fun challenges. Not something to just make things hard, but interesting events to engage with.
Also, once you get to midnight, you can currently just stay at midnight until you want to advance to the next day. If I run out of time in a day to repair/appraise/sell items, heck, even to buy enough items, I just "stay awake" until I've done everything I've wanted. Sometimes I go back out 20 minutes after it's been midnight to go shopping at yard sales. So I think yard sales no longer being accessible after say 8pm might be necessary.
- Being able to make collections of some special objects, and increase the value for the sell
when all the objects from one collection are in our possession.
- Moaaaaaaaar objects, tons of objects, thousands of them, more varation of the same object.. more more more :) ... thousands of them and surprises with very unique object we can find with time and patience... and luck
- Another gambling option: Poker
- Another city/expand the current one and have the items all be more expensive for late game playing
- Better customization options for houses:
- Furniture store to buy new furniture in
- Ability to move already placed furniture
- Ability to place items bought instead of just dragging them around while inside houses/garages.
- Petrol stations so you have to fill up your car, with petrol prices that may change daily.
-Rental costs
-You could build an airport where you can auction off lost suitcases, you can only see the contents after you buy them, there could be something valuable in there, but it could also just be worn-out clothes.
-Lamps and street lights
when the game is in its early stage, it would be nice with more saves...
if its possible.. then we can load back to where the game works..
If the devs introduce stealing, I would like a door on our houses and a garage door.
More Vans/ trucks and I would love a flatbed truck.
Customize vehicles ie change the colour of it maybe add our brand/logo on the side.
A shop we can buy and sell our goods from and maybe hire staff to work in the shop so we can go to auctions etc
Maybe a new auction where there is an auction every hour so 12 units and once the twelfth one has opened it resets so basically 24hr auctions.
I would love to see a car etc in the auctions and full with items as some are very empty but it is luck of the draw tbf.
Lights in the back of the van when it's late at night, just easier to see and more realistic.
New tools, maybe a vacuum to clean things out, polish to clean statues up etc I would love a welder to fix metal objects.
Just a few ideas also streets lights and lights for vehicles.
