We have made the decision to delay the addition of new DLC chapters, multiplayer and cross-platform mods coming to Slender: The Arrival. Our team is working on multiple projects, and to ensure we have not stretched our team too far we are looking at a slightly longer development period. Rest assured, we plan to deliver a really unique experience within Slender: The Arrival, and with more time our team can hit the right quality mark.

We wanted to put Slender: The Arrival forth for consideration for the Labor of Love award. As you likely know, we have been hard at work building the 10th Anniversary Update which launched on October 18 as a free upgrade.

We’ve been blown away by the responses from all of you since the update dropped, and we can’t thank you enough for sticking with us throughout the last ten years. This marks a whole decade since our original release and we thought it was a perfect time to go back and revisit the first game we launched as a studio.

Your responses have truly energized our whole team, and that makes our jobs so much more rewarding. We are kicking things up a notch next year by adding a multiplayer mode, cross-platform modding, and even more chapters. This is a big undertaking, but these are updates we have been waiting a really long time to build.

We are incredibly passionate about this game, the mythos and the entire community and we hope you are all just as excited as we are. Our goal is to turn this into something sustainable, with continued updates months and years into the future. We're back with a quick hotfix for you today with a few minor bugs and a DLSS fix.

• Camera shake is now based on distance and is more intense when closer
  
• Game persistence has been migrated to a .sav file in order to separate Steam Cloud from game settings
  
• Reduced the size of slender's hands slightly
  
• Fixed an issue where Slender's head and hands wouldn't distort with his body
  
• Fixed an issue where Slender's costume wouldn't persist properly
  
• Fixed an issue which rendered DLSS settings non-functional
  
• Fixed an issue where some tree trunks would have a visible seam
  
• Fixed an issue where some players could die in level 10 when they weren't supposed to
  
• Fixed an issue where "camera motion effects" was not disabling sanity-based camera shake

Firstly, thank you to everyone who has played the Anniversary Update, we have been gathering a lot of feedback to improve your gameplay experience, adding quality-of-life updates and fixing bugs. But that’s not all, we have a devilish treat in store for you in today’s patch. Get ready because Halloween has Arrived…

Halloween has swept its way into Slender: The Arrival. You may start seeing some newly added Halloween decorations hung up around Kate’s house to spruce up the place. Who knows, maybe someone may come around for some trick-or-treating?

Sightings of faceless pumpkins have been reported and are scattered all around the game. Be sure to pick them up along your journey, they will make collecting 8 pages look like a piece of candy. Do not be fooled into thinking this a trick, Slender Man is waiting for you to collect them all. Once you have obtained all 30 pumpkins, Slender Man has a delicious treat in store, but he’s shy and needs some convincing to show it off this year.

Slender Man has prepared a wonderful surprise for all of you, however only the bravest souls will be able to unlock this new mystery. Collect all 30 faceless pumpkins scattered throughout the game to reveal Slender Man’s Halloween costume. Once all pumpkins have been obtained, an option in the gameplay settings will be revealed to show his costume. Turn it on and hop into any level with Slender Man and try to find him. It’ll surely be a surprise.

We have redesigned pickups, readables and newly added subtitles ensure the horror can be experienced for the first time in multiple languages including: English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese and Portuguese.

Create your own scenarios and distribute them across every platform; PC, PlayStation 5, or Xbox Series X/S. Players can create single player experiences, or, leverage the brand new multiplayer mode to create online scenarios. The editor we ship will be very similar to the one used to develop the 10th Anniversary Update, giving you access to all of the same tools, AI, environment art, sound effects and everything used by our designers.

Contribute new stories and experiences to the mythos and share your nightmarish creations with players all around the world.

Thank you for all your support so far with Slender: The Arrival's 10th Anniversary Update, we are in the midst of bringing more news your way. We wanted to start off by updating you all on the game's price. As many of you know, the update will be arriving to existing Steam customers for free. In order to reflect the substantial effort re-imagining the title with completely revitalized visuals and a brand new chapter, in the next few days you can expect to see the Steam price increase from 9.99 USD to 19.99 USD. This price change will only affect new customers and will reflect the value of the game on other platforms.

Please be aware that the update is coming out October 18th and if you do purchase the game before then, you will still need to wait until the official update goes live.
