Cool idea but the scope of the game is extremely limited, probably due to how difficult it must've been to design the AI to play in a way that's "fair" and interesting. This isn't meant to be a knock on the dev as I'm sure trying to account for all these made up rules and design meaningful challenges around them required an insane amount of work, but the AI simply isn't clever enough to be engaging for more than a couple games.

If you're a decent chess player you'll probably finish this game very quickly, like 15-30 minutes for both endings, maybe you'll get a bit more mileage out of achievement hunting if you're into that stuff. Worth $3? Probably not for most people, but it was fine for me.

reminiscent of Obra Dinn and Papers Please in visual and audio style, if you enjoy those and chess, then its a very fun and compelling way to spend a few hours!
