Why so expensive?

Using Ai to change textures then re-selling a PS1 game for 22 is crazy. It's too much for what it is. If the game was a total remake then 22 would be a steal but this?

What kind of "genre" is this?

I heard so much about this series but no one really described the gameplay in any way that made sense. Is it kinda like the old God of War games? (hack/slash with exploration) More like Zelda? Please help me understand this ^^" If I play this game I don't want to be spoiled to death because I had to watch endless videos until I finally understand what this game feels like....

Friendly advice for anyone new to the series

As you may be aware already, Soul Reaver is the second game in the series and a sequel to Blood Omen, which is the beginning of the story, and has many important characters and locations for the whole story. Many of us played Soul Reaver first, and it served to us as the entry point for the series; and while it's not strictly necessary to play Blood Omen to enjoy the game, I can guarantee you that you will enjoy it even more if you at least know what happens on Blood Omen. BE WARNED: This remaster is made by the same devs who did the Tomb Raider/Battlefront "remasters"

And with the former, they censored, removed, and altered a lot of content that they considered "offensive" and "outdated" for very arbitrary reasons, so the people "losing their ♥♥♥♥" over the statue in this upcoming remaster are not exactly far from wrong with their concern. The latter is buggy as hell, so expect the LoK remasters to be just as buggy as well...
