What happens if I do NOT return the (fishing) Progressive Rod?

Hi there,

During the side quest "Warehouse Key" in chapter 2, we can borrow a (fishing) Progressive Rod. We also get the ability to return it. While the quest is active, we can return it and re-borrow it as many times as we wish, however once the quest is completed, if we return the rod, we can no longer borrow it. What happens if we never return it? Will it disappear automatically in chapter 3? Will it stay? Will we lose any bracer points for "stealing it"?

It will automatically be removed (returned to owner) from your inventory. It will not affect your bracer points. I have not noticed any change in bracer points when forgetting to return the fishing rod or when returning the fishing rod. You have the option to return the borrowed fishing rod as a courteous practice.

Turns out you were right. Joshua won't let us leave Ruan in Chapter 3 without returning it. Oh well, there goes my hope of being naughty.
