When will they let me report "Factory Incident 2"?
So I just finished "Factory Incident 2" and started "Prof.'s Whereabouts ". Yet both "Factory Incident 1" and "2" are still open and cannot be reported. is this a bug or am I supposed to report them at the end of the chapter?

These are main quests, not side quests, and main quests aren't specifically reported, but resolve at the end of the chapter. So don't worry about missing BP for them :-)

Well ok... Let's hope I made the right choices lol. They are keeping the result away for far too long in this case IMO.

For a game like this, with hidden sidequests and bonus BP for doing things the right way, if you want perfect BP, you need to use a guide, there's no getting around that. Games from that era are like this, and Sky is far less egregious than, say the FF games from that time.

Getting to Junior Bracer rank 1 is totally possible by playing normally, as long as you do all the sidequests on the board, so it only matters for achievements and carryover. And for those, you need a guide at any rate; just getting the Carnelia books already necessitates that.

Heck, I used a guide... and still missed some books and news articles. This game is crazy levels of bad on many things, including then content-hiding.

Then you used the wrong guide or didn't pay attention. I recommend the guide by Berserker Blade on GameFAQ's, though the one by Yangxu on the same site is just as good (only harder to read). I also recommend paying attention.

None of the missable things are plot-essential though, just extras for those who are thorough. Or accept the help of the ones that came before, who wrote their guides to assist us regular folk. :-)

I didn't miss any books so far AFAIK, since I tend to explore every nook and cranny and talk to all NPCs after every quest (even the border guards on both sides).

There was one case where a quest "Medical Necessities" punished me for exploring too much and too soon though LOL. Thankfully I have not encountered a similar poorly-designed quest since.
My first playthrough was without any guide, or even guidance from the forum or other online discussion sites, and I managed just fine. I missed all the Carnelia Books except for the 2 you can buy, I missed most secret quests and a lot of bonus BP, but still beat the game.

Didn't get all the nuances of gameplay either, like how to defeat Shining Poms, or the importance of Earth Guard/Wall (or Confuse). I think I didn't even use Clock Up Ex, and I was underleveled in the final dungeon. The game's doable even under such conditions.

Didn't feel I missed anything essential either, even in retrospect when I replayed with a guide. All the missable content is neat, but really of tertiary importance at best. But for 100% completion, a guide is nigh essential. That's just the way it is.
