Nightmare achievments
I don't see any achievment related to the nightmare difficulty, is it hidden? Because i don't want to torture myself if i won't even get an achievment out of it.

There are no achievements for playing on Hard or Nightmare in Sky First Chapter or Second Chapter.

There IS a Nightmare difficulty achievement or two for Sky the Third, though, but you can play that one on Normal and carry stuff over and still get the achievement.

I wouldn't recommend Nightmare on a blind run regardless. The third game is the only one in the series with proper difficulty scaling.

Thanks

Now that I think about it, 3rd did feel a lot more reasonable than FC -- or at least more reliant on strategy over cheese (and SC was right out). The Schera and Ravens star doors were garbage, but the rest felt really good. It'd make sense if that was the only one that had Nightmare from the start and wrapped it into the original testing instead of having it added later.

As stated above, no nightmare achievement so no reason to pick the super unbalance difficulty for the 1st and 2nd game.

Especially the 2nd game, the nightmare difficulty is way too stupid. even on NG+ when you already know the boss move set.

Fc, very hard but doable.
Sc, super hard, required you to retry dozen times while praying to adios that the boss miss his next attack.
3rd, hard and very doable even on 1st try.

I wish I knew this before. I played FC on normal the first time and it was fairly easy and only Lorenc and the last boss were difficult I went into SC with that mindset and I was never so wrong Hard difficulty is so unfair already, it reminds me of the time when I smashed to bits a PS3 controller while playing CoD:MW2. I can't imagine how Nightmare mode would be like.

Outside of a couple fights, SC isn't actually that nasty once you're past the prologue. But the prologue is really bad.

Yeah basically that. I always play SC on nightmare, just doesn't feel right any other way. And even the prologue is not impossible, you just gotta now your placement. Fitting considering it is called NIGHTMARE. Jesus, I never got people complaining about difficulty when the game has multiples of them. It is called NIGHTMARE, it NEEDS to be hard. Hell I wish Sky 3rd had an even harder mode or at least fix a certain fight to be harder.

I am now by Lorence and i think the most players forgot that it one spell give that makes self the biggest enemies easy. Chaos Brand is so OP that i use it first on the Old School-Building in Chapter 2 and then i have never do it on the Side. When than 3 Chars have this Spell its just hillarious how the Enemies slaugthering them selfes. Fango and Brongo are with Laurence the Difficultist Enemys (thay are Resistent vs this tactic).

No one forgot Chaos Brand. It just supports the general assessment that FC and SC don't have balanced difficulties. Spamming one spell to survive Nightmare isn't fun, which is why I'd never suggest it to a first-timer.

Is that still the case in 2024, if we include Daybreak games?
