game won't launch

I ran into the problem, that the game didn't launch on my new PC. It would show as "running" in Steam and the process would be there, but the game wouldn't open and it remained in that state indefinitely.

I had the same problem with Dragon's Dogma 2 and after realizing that both games use the same game engine (RE Engine) I tried the same work-around that has been suggested for DD2 (that had worked for me there) and lo and behold: It helped with this game just as much.

Since I didn't find any threads on this games' forum (possibly in part because Dragon's Dogma 2 has 10-times more players than this) I thought I'd make a thread anyway ... just in case someone ends up running into the same problem and searching these forums for a workaround or solution.

And yeah: It's probably more of a workaround.

In Dragon's Dogma 2 many people could get around the problem by removing the crashreport.exe from the game directory. That worked for me in both games.

I've had no problems but here's some points for pro-actively fixing an issue for a lot of others.

Ok I'll explain what worked for me with this problem. My new PC is a Ryzen 7 8700G with integrated graphics, and an aditional graphics card installed too. So I DISABLED the integrated graphics from the BIOS and after that it worked.
