how hard is everyone else finding the game?
So I'm a new player and I've found the no matter what GB I'm in my health just melts to everything like even when dodging attacks.
Is everyone else finding the game just really tough?

I started playing today and never played any Gundam or armored core games before. Your armor melts pretty fast.

Speed seems to be super important as having a functional weapons loadouts. Most of the time I'm trying to stay out of enemies reach and kite a lot, but maybe some more experienced players can give you better advice. And look out for those pick-ups to refresh ammo and health!
i've been doing that and i still melt because there are enemies that i don't see because i'm fighting other ones
The radar might be handy for this. You can use it to check your back. Spatial awareness plays a big part in the game. Attacks can come in from any direction.

I've noticed that some people breeze through the game while others find it very difficult. I don't know what's the cause for this divide.

Keeping your distance from the enemy is always recommended. Herding the bugs into clusters that can be destroyed with explosives is a good strategy. For fast moving targets, lock-on missiles and automatic weapons with high FCS are recommenced.
The "how to play" section also displays some gameplay hints.
Although you can be easily overwhelmed by a number of enemies without preperation, I found that if you were to take out enemies when they are clustered together missions tend to be way easier. It also helps if you tend to pair balistic weapons with bugs and homing missiles with GB's, the mele is virtualy useless within missile storms but very consiquential for quick takedowns.

skill issues
bugs with lazers from your flank or the bugs that fire homing projectiles are often a problem for me too. Then I land and get bulldozed by a big bug. After retrying the same level there is an option to enable easy mode. things are drastically easier in this mode.
as for skills and tips.
1. put the MOBILE in Mobile Suit.
prioritize high speed and lift over high armor.
2. keep away.
if you feel overwhelmed just pick a direction fly over the enemies and switch to hover mode, then keep on running.
3. Know your weapons.
they all function a little differently and will change your play style. Plan what each one will do for what situation when picking your load out.
4.Melee is good, Sniping in great.
once you unlock a long range weapon make sure to use it's maximum range (see #2). a swarm gets in your face, just chop them down and keep the enemy on the left side of the screen for melee ( none of the attack animations will hit an enemy to the right of the player model during a melee attack)
5. Homing missiles can find supplies.
flat out, when you have some down time switch to homing missiles(or whatever you have that can lock on) and hover around the map. it'll lock on to health and ammunition crates.

here is an idea of how I do load outs. my hand weapon is either a machine gun or some form of rocket launcher. ( something that can kill a mob that is at close range.) Either a cannon or a long range lazer ( something I can snipe with). then the most homing missiles I can fit. ( I also use these to find hidden enemies or supplies)

even with this and unlocking the secret GB I still had to finish some missions on easy difficulty.
It's pretty much like any other mech-type game, where speed and mobility are life.
And,it's combat. This means awareness of the battlefield and your position relative
to the enemy's(or your units) is essential. Else how can you know where the threat is
coming from in order to counter it from moment to moment. So,yes, keep moving. Adapt
your attack method to a more mobile technique,so that you can hit an enemy while you are
moving around. After doing this kind of thing for years,I do not really think about doing all
of this from second to second. Combat is now a list of habitual things I perform every moment, unconsciously, until the enemy is done.
Adaptation is also key,as not every situation will require the same response,or weapon.
Know thy weaponry, and the capabilities of your gear(in this case a mobile suit). If I find
myself crowded by the enemy, out comes my beam saber to clear a swath(!).
Biggest thing I found in bug fights is to keep running around and looking for bearers and spores and tapping them with heavier ordinance before they have a chance to tag you
Its okay, learn how to avoid enemies, always keep an eye for the meds/ammo bots and try different builds, thats the fun of it.
Its ok, until it isnt. There are some crazy difficulty spikes and a lot of weapons are deathtraps. Like the flamethrower... thats just a joke.

And then u get the Gate defence mission, and if u dont pack explosives up the wazoo youre gonna get stomped :D
I started playing the game, I am a huge Anime and Mechwarrior fan but those tend to be slower pace this is more action which I am liking. Reminds me of Virtual On. Oh yeah I am posting my game play as a Vtuber... only did 2 missions so far
Gonna say it, the game either needs enemy lock-on or the GB's need WAY more health. There is no difficulty setting that I can find and it's WAY too difficult from the get go. Ive died more times than I've completed missions at this point, no matter what loadout I use. Especially when fighting enemy mechs, you just get swarmed and die as soon as a wave starts, especially in the wave mode. I understand increasing difficulty but it gets too difficult too fast. Also, aim not having acceleration in a controller-compatible mech game is no good. You can't adjust your sensitivity mid-level because you can't access the settings menu mid-game, and with no lock-on ability and aim-assist that is basically useless without finer aim control and acceleration, it leads to the GB getting shot from behind and killed before you can even really get into the action. Really love this game's aesthetics but it needs some polish and some difficulty tuning.

I mean, you can literally hide behind the gate and torch everything through the gate with a flamethrower.
