Lodger walks slowly in nightmare phase in the darkness
Like the title says, when I'm in the nightmare phase, the lodger goes so slow in the dark he might as well not be moving. There's also a weird audio thing where the floor boards creak rapidly. Help?

I have the same issue, and it makes the game absolutely unplayable. I don't know what the fix for it is yet, but if I find it I'll definitely post it here.

Okay so... I tried a few things that seemed to have fixed it for the time being. I verified the integrity of my game files (I did not reinstall it). I decided to try using my controller instead and found the issue was no longer there. I started using my keyboard simultaneously to see if the issue was just the keyboard, but the glitch wouldn't happen. I will continue to play it (like I first intended to when the glitch plagued my game) and give an update on whether it comes back or not.

Same problem. Literally unplayable, and the sounds of his footsteps are spammed by the game when this happens. Like the game reads my inputs as if I was constantly pressing and letting go of the movement button. Doesn't matter if on controller or KB.

Same problem for me... didn't have this problem in earlier playthroughs...
I know it's kind of a necro but: The problem stems from the game running with a very hight framerate (over 900). To fix this, you have to cap the framerate to 60 in order for the game to behave normally
