Good VERY SHORT game. You can play it from start to finish in less than 10 hours. Considering the price, it makes me cry.

4/5, while it's still a visual/audio delicacy like its predecessor, in almost all other categories I feel like it's taken a step back. Combat is flashier but less challenging, puzzles are less creative, and the writing is not as profound. It's still a good game, but unless you've already played and loved the first one, I can't recommend starting with this one.

It is cinematic. Breathtaking. Powerful story. I do agree its more of a movie than a game but wow what a great experience this was. Get it on sale like I did at least or play through PC gamepass as the main game is only about 8 hours long.

Absolutely amazing story and feels like a cinematic experience , short and linear gameplay with no grinding for gears and all the crazy sh..t with most games nowadays.

It's different from other games and has artistic ambitions. Amazing graphics and sound. And it's short enough to fit a working person's schedule!

As a massive fan of the original Hellblade, I unfortunately can't recommend Hellblade 2. This game was supposed to be a cinematic experience like it's predecessor, but unfortunately it fails in major key aspects.

First lets talk about the good before we delve into the bad and the ugly. Melina Juergens is as great here as she was in Hellblade 1. Her performance is arguably the best thing about Hellblade 2. Unfortunately she does not have much to work with here. More on that later.

Let's address the obvious aspect that is the forefront of this game: the visuals. They are AMAZING. This game is honestly unlike anything I have ever played until now, visually wise. The detail, the motion capture, the facial expressions and mocap, the fighting choreography, the enemy design, and specially the environments - EVERYTHING looks absolutely stunning. Another great thing about this game is that it's set in Iceland, and I can honestly say I have not played any other game (to my knowledge and memory) that is set there. I honestly didn't even know what Iceland looked like before playing, and now that I have, I really want to visit there someday because it is beautiful and mysterious.

The sound design is as amazing here as it was in the first game. The use of the binaural audio which was a staple of the first one is also brilliant here. The soundtrack and the binaural aspects of both from the environments and Senua's own mind are breathtaking.

Unfortunately this is where the good aspects in this game end. Now comes the unpleasant task of talking about the bad: Unlike the first one, it simply doesn't have anything meaningful to say. Everything that there was to say about Senua was already said in Hellblade 1. Her character arc was complete. Outside of the amazing opening setpiece, the story plummets to a boring slop and doesn't recover.

The game simply has no meaningful story to speak of. It constantly struggles to justify it's existence: why Senua is there and why would she care about her self imposed mission. The game relies too much on the emotional performance of Melina's to constantly reinforce the otherwise weak elements of the story, but it simply does not have the same gravitas of the first one, no matter how hard it tries. Whereas the first Hellblade was personal. Close. It was about making peace with trauma and finding a way forward when all hope is lost. It hits close to home - everyone has experienced loss and depression. But here in Hellblade 2, the story is shallow, and it struggles far too often to keep you invested.

Now lets talk about the ugly: the gameplay loop. Its BORING. The puzzles and exploration are TEDIOUS. And the combat is SHALLOW with nothing beyond spectacle going for it. The first Hellblade had epic moments like the Fenrir boss fight, which was one of the most iconic boss fights I've experienced in a video game. But here, the action setpieces are just visually impressive and nothing more, so much so that you will constantly want to quickly get through the exploration and puzzles, just so you can get as fast as you can to another combat encounter because it's visual flair and choreography are arguably one of the few good things about the game.

TLDR: It really saddens me that such a great, emotional and phycological masterpiece that was the BAFTA worthy Hellblade 1 had such a shallow sequel as Hellblade 2. This game has nothing beyond spectacle, no meaningful story to speak of, boring exploration, tedious puzzles and shallow combat. An overall experience without any emotional gravitas unlike the first one. The only good things are the visuals, the binaural audio, the setting of Iceland, the opening setpiece and obviously Melina Juergens stunning performance, which was arguably the heart and soul of the entire game, without which it becomes completely irredeemable.

Nice story and graphics. Could be longer, more difficult and have even more depth. But overall, its good fun.

Was a big fan of the first game and wow the second did not disappoint. The visuals are amazing, storytelling is next level. And while the combat is simple I have always enjoyed it for what it is. 10/10 game for me!

Except for the fact that it crashes constantly on my radeon card, this was an great world to experience, the story is awesome, the game very emersive, except for the crashing. Excellent sequel to senuas saga. I highly recommend it, unless you have an AMD graphics card.

Let's start with the graphics. UE5. It's so realistic that sometimes you feel like you're watching a movie, the overall picture quality is simply indescribable.
Throughout the game, I kept stopping to take a couple of screenshots, the landscapes are incredible!

As for the plot. I'll be brief, no spoilers. A sequel to the first part. Still just as good, thought-provoking.

Gameplay. I remember seeing a bunch of comments on the release about how the developers made it worse, I'll say this, as for me, they slightly reworked the combat, but otherwise it's the same game, even better.

In the end. As I said, I highly recommend buying the game. You clearly won't regret it.
