I don't plan on modding this. What are the big changes between this and Wizardry 7? Will a party such as Samurai, Monk, Ninja, Alch, Priest, Mage do as well as it did in Wizardry 7?

I'm going against my usual inclination and playing a small party. Since I really enjoy hybrid-style play, I'm using several casters with physical-oriented builds. First are a couple of Elf casters, a Mage and a Psionic. Both are going for Powercast and then STR/DEX, focusing 3 skill points per level into Throwing & Slings.
