Beautifully crafted character designs and interesting/original premise. I haven't had a chance to play too much yet, but from what I've seen the visuals and character design are top notch. There are however performance issues and I wonder if the game could do with an optimisation overhaul. My laptop utilises an RTX 3070, and it was struggling to keep up in areas, I'm not sure if this was due to shader compilation in the background that hadn't been pre-cached, or not utilising LODs to reduce demand, but it wasn't a smooth experience. Additionally, while a controller can be used while in-game, it can't be used to navigate the main menu, which I think should be added for people like me who prefer to remote-play games on their TV.

Game is wicked beautiful, and is not scary at all, however has REALLY GOOD concepts and designs in it. I was also okay with the map designs, as you have maximum of 3 rooms to check at all times, it is fairly easy to get over the puzzles.

To be fair though, game optimization is as good as my grandma trying to do clapping pushups. I've played RDR2, Death Stranding, and Silent Hill 2 on 4K and with 120FPS/Hz, this game does not have the rights to provide a medium of 60FPS on only 2K screen. Controls are janky as well. Jesus christ

Amygdala is a visually stunning experience with no clear direction of where to go. And that's the reason why I give this game a bad review. At the start the player will be roaming around not knowing where to go next.

Think Visage but in a bigger map.
