Lightning Hammer OP
I don't know why the Energy Sword is touted as a good weapon, it is straight trash.

Energy Sword swings over twice as fast as Lightning Hammer. In loop this is pretty significant because elite IDPD like to put close range pressure on the player that lham struggles to handle.

That aside, esword is a particularly good melee when ran with plasma cannon or super plasma cannon, because running dual energy means that every ammo drop is guaranteed to be energy (ammoless melee is just a chance). Double energy is one of the best loadouts to handle L1 and L2.

Now add laser brain to the equation, esword is far and above the second best melee in the game (right after ultra shovel) because of its insane damage output and fast reload speed. It trivializes IDPD spawns completely as long as you're decent at managing ammo.

I don't think Esword gains any damage (or reload speed) from Laser Brain. I believe it just extends the range (lifetime, more specifically)

Yeah I did a generalization. Energy Sword's lifetime is extended which allows it to hit enemies twice. Similar to how long arms doesn't increase the projectiles size but rather pushes the melee swings out further at a higher velocity. I believe it was accurate to say that damage output is increased due to hitting enemies twice.
the lightning hammer is indeed OP
