I don't think you can. To be honest, I barely notice it. I had to check that Garret's head does bob after reading the post.

I've checked all the settings and can't find it anywhere.

Did you change the "field of view" setting under "graphics"? Mine was 90 by default, and I changed it to 110. I didn't get motion sickness or any other discomfort, but I guess that it might be disorienting to some people. Perhaps you changed it and forgot? Or you could try for a field of view that is smaller than the usual 90, perhaps these will help?

Bobbing was always a big problem in this game, an update seemed to have solved it but in truth it had only diminished it. Someone then claimed that this solution can solve the problem but some users replied that didn't notice the difference.
Another thing that sure could help you a lot, is disable motion blur.

Open this dir: Thief\ThiefGame\Config
Edit both this config files: DefaultCamera.ini and ThiefCamera.ini
And change these options from 3 to 1 or other number:
mMaxNbNoiseShake = 1
mMaxNbAdditiveShake = 1
mMaxNbEnvironmental = 1

I tried the suggestion. It didn't remove the headbobbing completely but I'm at a point where I can play it now. I'm enjoying so far

Glad I found this thread. No buy if I can't turn off the head bob crap. I was looking at getting it off of GOG where it is just $4.79 Canadian for the definitive edition.
