Hi there, first thanks for playing the game!
This is the first time we've seen this issue from someone.
Please try Verify Integrity of Game Files option. Steps to do so:
1. Right click on The Banner Saga in your games library
2. Click on Properties
3. Proceed to Local Files tab
4. Click on Verify Integrity of Game Files
If that does not resolve your issue, you *may* wish to completely uninstall and reinstall the game, as other game downloads may overwrite some of the needed parameters on Steam to play The Banner Saga properly. Please remember it is an older game so a fresh installation may help resolve these things.
