If you're looking for the game the fandom media chalks this up to be, you need not apply whatsoever. Sincerest condolences, however please consider reading more if incest isn't your palate. The reason why a lot of reviews are not addressing the real content and value of the game is because, frankly, I don't think the game was meant explicitly for that but for vibes and entertainment. There are certain elements and pieces of dialogue that may speak deeper to some people as it has for myself, skirting largely around topics of mental health and support systems, but ultimately it is just an entertaining gothic horror indie visual novel that I would like the market to produce more of or at least keep trying. The art style is phenomenal and eye-catching. Kudos. Give me more.

What I do want to speak on is this, because I feel it's rather unfair: a lot of the game's criticism has been around the bush of feeling like it was made as part of a Newgrounds-inspired Tumblr blog using shock value to garner popularity not unlike Postal. The criticisms that particularly larger influencers have for this game simply don't stand up not because I don't agree with them but because they don't matter realistically. What remains is this is a critical success on Steam simply due to the fact, I'll argue, that it's entertaining. Shocking, I know, in the years 2023/2024 that this game has existed. Andy and Leyley knows its audience and sticks true to it, making it a great example of why you shouldn't try to appeal to everyone, similar to cult horror movies. The ability for one to dig deep into criticisms for a piece of media does not necessarily remove the value, not because not everything is perfect, but because that's simply not the point. I consider this the CinemaSins effect, where trying to hold every minute detail to scrutiny would get you laughed out at any party but holds bearing if you add witty commentary and attempt to seem professional for an audience of primarily children online. So I feel that this game has been treated unfairly by certain influencers who should perhaps go outside and get their balls tickled or something that may regain the part of their brain which is faintly beyond surface-level human. Give the game a try if you're into indie horror, though I really think the type of person who is remotely interested in this game by sheer curiosity from the get-go will enjoy it as a result and that's literally that.
