Idea Factory's main claim to fame are fanservice laden games.
And no, there's no patch to my knowledge. And since light dating-sim elements are part of the gameplay loop, i doubt it would be possible to sterilize it.
If this is enough to embarrass you, this is absolutely the wrong publisher for you.
Well, right or wrong i purchased the game, is in my library and i like the power progress of fusion for items, captured monsers, skills and etc...
This isn't a criticize thread, just a request one, if my feelings over the game were taken as nonsense, well, too bad, i'm sorry if it offended you, believe me it was not my intention in any way.
Thanks for the answer anyway, a shame there's no way to keep the structure, strategic RPG, without the dating simulator.
However, i stay by what i said, throwing around stuff like "waifu pedo scenes" will most likely lead to you not being taken seriously because it's nonsensical, inflammatory language downplaying actual crime over you, in your own words, feeling embarrassed over lewd videogames.
Sadly, i haven't played Argarest in way over a decade, so i don't remember enough to make adequate recommendations for other games.
It's a rather unique blend of genres and systems.
Apart of the bit disloyal way of monetize the game at the begin (with hundreds of DLCs for bonus), which nowdays i don't even see as a problem anymore, cos Gatcha games do way worst than that, to Agarest Strategic RPG structure i give a 10/10 evaluation.
In many cases, it's actually detrimental to the experience, as much of their DLC is straight up cheating.
I love strategic / tactical RPG and the graphics look nice. Also I think the generation system sounds intriguing but I know a lot of Japanese games with very emberassing scenes that I would like to avoid because it somehow kills immersion for me and as a female gamer for me there is nothing stimulatory about such scenes.
Would be great if there was an option to at least tone those scenes down but I guess it is at it is, we just have to look over those things and enjoy the rest^^
It becomes grindy af and the combat is really bland.
There are lots of better tactical rpgs to play.
Grindy is why i like this game!
I also disagree with someone here that says this game is terrible. This game is pretty good imo.
If this little thing is enough to make you laugh that much, i can understand why you feel satisfied with the bland genre of history.
Give a bit more reading on the comments and you may find why i like the the game (genre of mechanics), but a piece of advice, the comments do not moan, you may feel bored with so much to read.
Mechanically wise this game is a dream coming true for me. Full grind + thousands of items + thousands of skills/magics + alchemy + crafting + thousands of pets + thousands of useless things to do (but we do them anyway with a smile in the face) and a inherit system for MC as the cherry of the cake? Love it!
Surprisingly enough there's no chainsaw in Agarest (a shame since it has amost any item).
