So, you bought Ford Fiesta from dealership X, will you then walk into dealership Y and demand that they give you another Ford Fiesta of the same model for free?

Just add it as a non Steam game to launch from Steam. Either way requires the Ubi Launcher to play the game.

He's being honest, there is no way unless you somehow manage to convince Ubisoft to give you a steam key.

Or you can do what NormireX said and just non steam game launch option, theres no steam features in the game anyway and it all runs Uplay so if you want people to see you playing FC6 you can just do that if you don't want to pay again.

Actually it appears he was just being honest. You don't get the game free on Steam simply for owning it somewhere else.

You have two options, buy it again on steam so that it puts a link in your library, which just launches it over on ubisoft anyway. Or...

Just add a shortcut to your library to the game you already own, steam lets you put any shortcuts you want into your library list just for the novelty, it doesn't even need to be a game.

To be fair there are a lot of non-americans on steam and English does have weird quirks that other languages don't have, but I do agree that he shouldn't attacked anyone's comprehension over being honest.

Unfortunately you can't. If you owned it on Steam then the Ubi version would be shared but unfortunately it doesn't work the other way round, sorry dude.

Just to add it's because Ubi is the primary store for the game and Steam the 3rd party.
Same with MS/EA games etc. who have their own stores.

Which is why I only commented on it being ironic/funny and didn't bother to actually insult him for it.

90% of them can't even speak more than 4 languages

you gotta buy the game again, but you'll keep your DLC and other ubisoft connect stuff (excluding the game itself)
