Far Cry 6

GOTY? tf? since when?
They just decided they would put GOTY in their title?

Yes, that is a thing big publishers do even if a game wasn't that popular.

"goty edition" is just another term for "complete edition"

you don't have to actually win any goty awards and any media outlet can give out goty to any game they want, it doesn't mean anything
Come now, Juego Gamo Maximal and Smegedders both gave it a tenner, that has to count for something.

Typical Ubisoft, praising themselves since no one else finds their work GOTY-worthy.
AAAA, GOTY, what's next?

This is American Morale(TM). Everything is for sale - morales, ethics, honesty, etc.. You fake it until you make it. You don't ask for permission but for forgiveness. Better upset everyone now so they won't be upset later. ... I am usually not against American culture, but there is a noticeable decline when 20-year-olds want to pick up assault rifles to shoot their political leaders. That a game maker crowns their games as "Game of the Year" is only background noise.

Except Ubisoft is not an American company :D It's actually European - France, with most of its development force based in Canada and some around the world. To be honest, I don't think Ubisoft has a single office in the US.
If anything, Ubisoft represents European values, not American lol
You couldn't be more off with your statement :D I hope getting this off the chest at least made you feel happier :D

Dude. One -- ONE -- 20 year old did that. Not all. We have millions of gun owners here and ONE person is not the rule for ALL. Get a clue.

I was not talking about companies but morals. Europe is certainly sucking it up. I was however talking more in general. This is what this thread is about - companies throwing out moral values for money openly in the faces of costumers for all to see. This is not some backroom deal. It is outright fraudulent to name an edition "game of the year", and everybody understands this, as well as many accept it and pretend it was normal, because this is what sheep do - to pretend normality even in the face of evil. We are sheep, we get slaughtered, it is totally normal....

One -- ONE -- ... bla bla bla. Do not inflate yourself so much. You might explode. Nobody was saying all 20-year-olds did this, only your brain somehow managed to insert this here and caused you to go nuts about it. Do not blame this on me. You want to get a clue, or better see a counselor or something. I am only talking about the sellout of morals in the US and how people are happily adopting it. You would think information technology would make people smarter, but it also fuels lynch mobs into a rage. Social media meets gun owners and it is like a powder keg. Trump of all uses social media a lot for twisting the truth. Not many were actually shocked when they heard the news. What is sad is that it was not some 50-year old grumpy, disgruntled lowlife with a twisted mind, but practically a kid. Kids need to be protected from bad influences, because they can still be easily influenced. But this is what happens when older people no longer lead the young with honesty, moral values, and upstanding characters, but openly sell it all out and act like crooks.

However, I do not want to ride this out. I can already see how it upsets one person here. If anything do I feel for your dilemma.

Bro. You literally pluralized it. I get that you don't like Trump. You have a right to have your opinion, but please don't glom a bunch of people into your generalization about one bad person. That's all. Whether we realize it or not, we're all in a cultural and societal conflict right now, on this side of the ocean and all across Europe. It's easy to point fingers at the folks across the sea, it's harder to make an honest assessment of one's own situation.

Have a good day.

No, you made more of it than I wrote, because you wanted to read it this way in fear it might be true, and I am not your bro. You want to tell yourself that there is only one, single 20-year old who had the idea? Go ahead, tell yourself that. The truth is that many have it, and not just young people have expressed their hate against Trump. It was merely one who went as far as putting it into action. Was it wrong? Of course it was. But you live in a fantasy when you think this one person would have been a completely isolated character and everyone else is thinking happy thoughts. People have expressed all sorts of hatred against Trump. Some went literally mad over it. You have to be high to think the assassination of a political figure would be new. It is as old as politics itself, but it is usually extremists and brainwashed people who are behind such attempts. People are still confused and fail to come up with a solid explanation for why a seemingly innocent 20-year old would go this far. Is the thought of a loss in moral values this strange for you to accept? It even has examples in the bible of how moral decay leads to unrest. I think it was not even a question of if but of when it would happen. This is what makes it sad, and not just the attempt alone. This and that it was such a young person.

And when you want to partner up with Europe in your counter-argument then, sorry, the US stands alone. There has not been a 9/11 in the EU and nobody tried to storm a congress in Europe either, nor are there many school shootings in Europe. The US still makes the biggest waves around the globe for better or worse. You are losing it when you want to tell yourself everyone else was in a similar situation.

You are in a Far Cry 6 forum that discusses Ubisoft and Far Cry 6 specifically. You are not only wrong but also disrespectful. Dont bring politics to topics that are not discussing it.

Title? No, other than it is a 'this is the full/deluxe of them all of this particular FC game' sales moniker.

As for the unfortunate AAAA remark that Ubisoft made about Skull and Bones, that was just a bigwig making a remark he probably regrets.....because people went ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about it.

No, it is you who is wrong, angry, and most of all defeated. You do not even know what respect is yet. Part of politics is about swaying public opinion, and crowing a game as "Game of the Year"-edition when it has not received the award is just that.
